How to order custom UCLA promotional merchandise

Step 1: Think Green:
We all have a role to play in helping UCLA achieve its sustainability goals. Before finalizing your decision on sourcing a UCLA promotional item, please check out the “Going Green” resources at the bottom of this page for tips. We also welcome your questions and feedback.

Step 2: Vendor Selection:
Consistent with university policy, consumer products, including promotional products, bearing any UCLA name or related trademarks are to be produced solely by vendors who hold a valid UCLA license agreement or similar authorization from the requisite university authority. Step 3: Graphic Design:
Campus departments should be sure to follow UCLA brand guidelines for use of the primary UCLA brand mark and signature as provided on the UCLA Brand website. Likewise, student group should follow all procedures required by SOLE in addition to those pertaining to student groups as provided on the UCLA Brand website:

Step 4: UCLA Marks Use Request:
Once you have selected an authorized vendor and developed the graphic design and/or mockup of the item you want to order, you are ready to submit a UCLA Marks request through the online portal found here:

UCLA Policy 110 sets forth the permitted, restricted and prohibited uses of the UCLA marks in all context including use in conjunction with third party names and logos, and other situations.

Recognized Student Organization are required to follow rules on permitted use of UCLA’s name and marks as provide in Policy 110. Registered Campus Organizations are encouraged to consult with their SOLE advisor for more information concerning student group naming conventions and rules for using the UCLA marks.

This UC Code stipulates that all goods bearing any UC name or marks regardless of end-use– including retail and promotional items, gifts, uniforms, or other uses– be produced or otherwise sourced only through companies authorized to place UC trademarks onto such goods.
