Operation Hat Trick to Partner with UCLA

Westwood, Calif. – Nov. XX, 2021 – This year’s Veterans Day brings students and UCLA fans an inspiring opportunity to give back to the UCLA Veteran Resource Center by purchasing an item from a collection of Veteran inspired merchandise.

Operation Hat Trick (OHT) generates awareness and support for the recovery of wounded
service members and veterans by selling OHT branded merchandise and products, proceeds of which are donated to selected organizations that fulfill the OHT mission. OHT is dedicated to American service members as they recover from the visible and invisible wounds of war. The UCLA Veteran Resource enter has been selected by OHT to receive a $15,000 donation to support their culinary and arts programs. The UCLA Store is proud to collaborate with OHT to provide a limited collection of this merchandise to the UCLA community. Available to purchase in the UCLA Store while supplies last.

“UCLA Trademarks & Licensing has worked with Operation Hat Trick for years to support
American service members. It has been especially gratifying this year as we have been able to deepen our relationship by connecting the UCLA Veteran Resource Center with OHT to support UCLA student veterans and by including the UCLA Store as a retailer of OHT products.” Kristina Miller, Retail Brand Director UCLA Trademarks & Licensing.

“Operation Hat Trick is honored and excited about this partnership with the UCLA Veteran
Resource Center,” said Dot Sheehan, Founder, President and CEO of Operation Hat Trick. “We both have similar missions-to support the recovery of wounded veterans. The UCLA VRC’s unique programs allow injured veterans to take learning beyond the classroom, make critical connections with other veterans and live a more independent life with better health.”
The OHT merchandise collection will be available in the UCLA Store through Veterans Day and at the RoseBowl on Saturday, November 13, for the UCLA vs. Colorado football game while supplies last.

About Operation Hat Trick:

Operation Hat Trick is recognized by GuideStar as a Platinum seal of transparency organization for its responsible stewardship (https:/learn.guidestar.org/platinum).  Dedicated to Nate Hardy and Mike Koch, two Navy SEALs who were killed in Iraq in 2008 and are buried side by side at Arlington National Cemetery, OHT never forgets their sacrifice.

OHT is differentiated from other veteran-focused nonprofits by its innovative operating
model. OHT pioneered the first national philanthropic co-branded cause marketing retail apparel licensing program.  Rather than relying on donations to raise money, OHT receives a royalty on every product purchase of co-branded apparel and merchandise in conjunction with over 500 supporting American colleges and universities, as well as many NHL, NBA and MiLB teams.  Its products are also available via online retailers such as Fanatics, Amazon and national retailers including Dick’s Sporting Goods, Academy Sports & Outdoors, Kohl’s, Lids, Scheels and more.
